Make More Money With Reviewazon

Posted: | Author: Fletch | Filed under: Affiliate Marketing Tutorial, Make Money Online | 4 Comments »

I have been using the wordpress plugin Reviewazon for a few months now and I have to say I am totally impressed with it. Before I got into it I have used several other niche store builders, mostly Build A Niche Store with ebay but I can make more money with Reviewazon.

For anyone who is not familiar with it Reviewazon is a plugin that enables you to pull Amazon products straight into your wordpress site. There a few ways of displaying them and the ability to use custom templates so with a bit of imagination you can achieve a higly professional website with a great range of items for visitors to buy.

There are many examples of straight out of the box Reviewazon sites making money for their owners but in order to make the most of it you need to be going that extra mile.

Reviewazon grabs the products from the Amazon feed and this can include product descriptions, prices, customer reviews and all sorts of other information which is great but it means that you are simply reproducing a mini Amazon. This is the same problem that many BANS sites suffered from and were consequently de-indexed, so to avoid this fate and make more money with Reviewazon you want to tickle your web posts a little bit.

Change The Title
The first thing you can do is change the titles around, the posts that Reviewazon creates will have the same titles as the main site and so this is a must do thing. As well as the titles the descriptions will also be identical so it will pay you to insert some custom text here to step it up a gear.

To make more money with Reviewazon I create bulk product posts which is simple with a couple of clicks of the mouse but I make sure I save them as drafts, there is a check box for this. Then you simply have to go to edit posts in the wordpress  dashboard and work through them.

I pick a post and look at the preview, this tells me what I have got and lets me see what Amazon is feeding me. The first thing to check is the title, as I said you will want to change this to make it more unique but also to ensure that it contains terms that are being searched for so I go to Googles free tool and plug in the brand and model number. There will be a low search count but it is not important, all you are looking for is what people are actually searching for when they want to buy this product.Take the best of the results and make that your post title.

Add Some Unique Content
Now I will go to the product page of the brand site and take a look at the information there. The official site will usually have a whole bunch of information that is not included in the Amazon description so I will take this and then re-write it in my own words being careful to get any technical information correct. When writing this information try to get around 2/3 hundred words of unique content and include the keyword phrase about three or four times, this will give you a good jump in the search engines.

If you are using All in One SEO which you should be, fill in all the boxes and then you can either schedule or publish the post. You will now have an optimised page for a long tail keyword which should bring you buying traffic. These simple tips will help you make more money with Reviewazon.

Finding The Golden Keyword

Posted: | Author: Fletch | Filed under: Keyword Research | Tags: , , , | No Comments »

All of us are searching for the golden keyword, you know the one that has thousands of searches with no competition and a high priced affiliate product at the end.

Is this like searching for the golden fleece? Does it actually exist?

Like many affiliate marketers I was brought up on the dream of the golden keyword.Once upon a time it was easy to find the odd nugget but it is getting a little trickier now.

I see many affiliate marketers falling into the trap of spending so much time looking for the right keyword, the one that has X number of searches, competition under Y, that they don’t actually do anything but search. And they make no money.

For years we have been told to check keywords out by putting them in quotes and searching on Google to find out how much competition there is, this is OK up to a point but it really doesn’t tell you what you need to know.

The “quote” search only tells you how many pages are indexed with that exact phrase on the page, it is NOT an indication of competition. In any niche certain phrases will come up time and time again and they will be on a web page but that does not mean that the page is actually targeted for that phrase.

Example: Listen to any conversation about golf, how many times will terms such as ‘driver’ or ‘wedge’ come up? Yet the conversation may really be about The Masters, or ‘Golf Bags’ Related but unconnected and therefore not competition, the same applies to keywords and web pages.

The most reliable way to find the competition you are battling is to use these terms:

inurl:”keyword”  Will return pages with the exact phrase in their url.

inanchor:”keyword” Will return pages with backlinks containing the exact phrase.

intitle:”keyword” Will return pages with the exact keyword in the page title.

If a web page has these features then it is a fair bet that it has been optimised for that phrase. This does indicate proper competition.

If, after checking the keyword for these factors you find that there is a lot of competing pages does that mean the keyword is no good? Not necessarily, you then need to check how strong these pages are by examining the Page Rank, the age, the number of backlinks etc.

Using a tool like SEO for Firefox this is a fairly simple procedure although a little time consuming. You can find keywords with seemingly thousands of competing web pages but on investigation the top ten results might have no pages with any PR or backlinks, these will be easy to beat.

On the other hand another keyword may have only a handful of competing pages but they are all PR5/6 with thousands of backlinks, you will spend years trying to get above those and possibly never will.

Keyword research is something you love or hate but it is a fact that you will not make money online without it.

Is there a golden keyword? Of course but you may waste months or even years looking for it, lower your sights and take action, find keywords you can target using the method above and then commit.

If you have the budget there is a tool that will do all this for you and more, it’s called MicroNicheFinder, it’s the one I use every day and I couldn’t live without it. See for yourself here

Backlinks For Newbies

On one of the forums that I use a new member posed a simple question.

How do I build backlinks?

There ensued a flurry of answers and opinions on the best way of building backlinks, do this, do that, don’t do the other!
Everyone and his dog had an opinion of what software to use, whether it was better to comment on blogs or write articles for the directories.

It gradually became clear that the newbie had in fact asked the wrong question. The question he should have asked was:

How do I construct a backlink?

We sometimes forget that the things that are so easy to most of us are still a mystery to be unravelled by the new comers to the scene of affiliate marketing.

So, for anyone too shy to put their hand up and ask here is the method of constructing a backlink. A backlink is actually ‘Anchor Text’ Anchor text is the actual words that when clicked take you to a certain web page or another site, the most common one is Click Here If you right click and choose view source you can actually see how this link is made.

The backlink is made up of HTML tags like <a> and between the tags is the value for where the link will head for and the actual text that is clickable.

So you have:

<a   Denotes an anchor

href= Denotes a hyperlink

“website” The destination

>Clickable Text<  What it says

</a> Closes the tag.

This is a full example of a backlink:

As you can see any text can be inserted between the >< tags and this should be the keyword anchor that you need for your site. I hope this makes it easier for you to get your backlinks constructed correctly.

Free WordPress Plug-Ins

I think every affiliate marketer knows the value of WordPress. It is a very simple way to get a highly polished website up and running in the shortest  time possible and by using any of thousands of free wordpress plug-ins you can make it do pretty much anything you like without having to learn coding skills or any of that boring stuff.

By using free wordpress plug-ins you can make the functionality and the user experience so much better and as they are easy to install and  regularly updated to keep pace with wordpress itself the few minutes it takes to install them can be worth thousands of hours during the lifetime of your blog.

Here are a few free wordpress plug-ins that I am using at the moment on the various websites that I maintain, they are all free and are products from the MaxBlog Press stable. I have found that the free wordpress plug-ins that they give away are very efficient, easy to use and they work as you want them to without a lot of messing around.

Anyways up, heres my top three free wordpress plug-ins form MaxBlogPress:

Max Blog Ping Optimizer: I have written about this one before and have it installed on pretty much every blog I have. It can save you from the curse of the default pinging feature of WordPress and stop you from getting banned by the ping sevices.

Duplicate Post Checker: You are going to write about a post but you are in doubt about whether you have already created a similar post. If you write a new post which is very much similar to the post you have written previously then this will certainly annoy your blog readers.

What you can do is you can use this plugin to check other similar posts you have already written to make sure that you can write entirely original content on the same topic without making it look like a duplicate of another post already published.

MaxBlogPress DealDotCom Widget: Each day DealDotCom have only one product for sale. It gets sold at insanely low price and there are limited numbers of copies available. That product will only be available until it sells out or until the midnight after that it will be pulled off and start selling a new product.

Can you see the selling psychology here? They offer a killer deal as well as they make it extremely time sensitive too. There is a huge fear of losing that deal forever. This one depends a great deal on the site you have but it can be a money spinner on the right page.

Stripe Ads: You can see one at the top of this page. Pop ups are extremely annoying to a lot of visitors and as they try to get rid of it many will actually close the page or press the back button, a lost visitor. With a stripe ad you can have a subtle message at the top of the page that doesn’t get in the way of the content and it can be configured to rotate ads, stop and start  and quite a few other things as well.

Oh well that is actually four but I am sure at least one will be of use to you .
